The Virtual College Quality Management System (QMS) has been developed to provide an online support tool for company quality management systems. The tool enables policies and procedures to be structured into an online delivery mechanism. Rather than having a single company procedure manual shared across a department or team, it is possible to allocate the relevant online procedures to a specific job role or individual. The allocated procedures appear on the person's training record. By creating online assessment quizzes and short answer questions it is possible to audit the persons understanding of the procedures and record their performance on their training record.

The system can be used to undertake regular audit of staff knowledge and can incorporate expiry dates which trigger re-assessment on a regular basis.

The system is simple to use, and once trained, staff can easily maintain the online procedures and associated assessments, thereby ensuring the most up-to-date procedures are accessible to all.
