Overview
This engaging NHS & Social Care-specific module will provide an overview of
the principles of adopting Confidentiality within an organisation. It will
enable a learner to understand why confidentiality is important and what the
four key requirements of the confidentiality model are. It will also give
the learner an appreciation of the circumstances in which it may be
necessary to disclose confidential information, when to seek consent and
understand their role in creating a confidential service.
Having completed the course learners will be able to explain why it is
important to an organisation, describe the main areas of legislation and
regulation, explain what needs to be done and be in a position to promote
best practice within your organisation.
Structure
The module is structured into a number of engaging learning activities which
guide the learner through each topic. It is supported by graphics,
animations and a range of knowledge challenges which not only help with the
retention of information but which are constantly reinforcing key messages.
Once the learning element of the module has been completed the learner will
be directed to the quiz section where his/her understanding will be put to
the test.
Target audience
This module is suitable for anyone working in the NHS. As information
governance is a key issue all employees should know about how to handle
patient-identifiable information within an organisation.
Online assessment
This course is targeted at all employees within NHS and social care
organisations. It is also appropriate to all Public sector bodies including
Education, Council, Police, Fire & Government.
Accreditation
At present, this course is not formally accredited. However, it was
developed in partnership with subject specialists from within the NHS and we
are currently exploring the potential for gaining accreditation for all the
TIGER Information Governance modules.
Cost
£35.25 inc. VAT When more than one TIGER module is purchased a reduction
will be offered. A cost reduction will also be offered for multiple users
within a business (POA).
