Raising Standards Through The Application of e-learning
<< Previous page
Project Aim
Through the effective utilisation of e-learning help improve the recruitment,
induction and retention of learners on Modern Apprenticeships.
Key Partners
The key partners in the project are Virtual College, Yorkshire Training Partnership,
LSC – South Yorkshire and Summit Ltd, plus 10 private/public sector training provides
within the South Yorkshire region.
Current Status
The project has made great progress and has resulted in the provision of a range of first
class tools specifically designed to help improve the front-end activity of candidate selection
and induction. These tools include:
- 5 induction e-learning modules
- Online profiling for sector interests and personality
- Online learning management system
The feedback from the training providers has been extremely positive and they are all enthused
to increase their e-learning activity, seeing it as an opportunity to create a ‘blended’ delivery
approach and all believe it will help improve their retention rates and provision . A number of the
training providers have incorporated the tools into their standard induction process and are now
starting to develop additional technical certificate e-learning resources.
